NARALO Call FOR NOMINATIONS OPEN - Leadership positions 2025
Dear All, On behalf of Greg Shatan, Chair of NARALO, this is to announce the start of the 2025 NARALO Elections, Selections and Appointment process. NARALO has three positions open this year for RALO selection/election: 1) ALAC Member; 2) NARALO Secretary, 3) ALAC NomCom Delegate to the NomCom from North America. Please note the important points regarding the process of nominations: 1) Nominations, including self-nominations must be made directly to their RALO’s mailing list; 2) Nominations must be posted to the 2025 ALAC and RALO Elections, Selections and Appointments Workspace<https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/atlarge/pages/162332709/20...> or by sending a note to At-Large staff<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>. 3) A brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate and must also complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspace<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+New+SOIs+Workspace>). NARALO Selection Timetable for 2025: * 9 April 2025 - Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement.* (NARALO requires a call for nominations of 30 days before the start of elections on 9 May.) * 09 April - 25 April 2025 - Nomination period (nominations accepted 30 days before the start of election). * 2 May 2025 - Deadline for nomination acceptances. Candidate statements should be submitted no later than 5 May 2025. * 5 May 2025 - 8 May 2025- Calls with the candidates if desired by the RALOs. * 9 May 2025 - 16 May 2025 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than two weeks after that deadline). * 2025 AGM [ ICANN84] - Newly elected ALAC Members and RALOs Leaders shall be seated at the end of the 2025 AGM following the close of the Board Meeting on 30 October 2025. .* NOTES ON NOMINATIONS 1. Candidates for office may be an Individual Member or a member of an ALS, and must be residents of North America. 2. Nomcom delegates ending their terms in 2024 and 2025 are ineligible this year.
