Shout out to Glenn re: ISOC selling off PIR
I want to publicly express my thanks to Glenn McKnight for refusing to participate in the awful decision of the ISOC Board to sell off the .org registry, PIR, and turn it into a for profit. This morning in a webinar it was indicated that Glenn, an ISOC Trustee, recused himself from the discussion and was not a part of the disastrous vote to proceed. So don't blame him. As for the others.... -- Evan Leibovitch, Toronto Canada @evanleibovitch or @el56
It might have been better to participate in the discussion, but hindsight is always 20-20.... On Fri, Nov 29, 2019 at 12:35 PM Evan Leibovitch <evan@telly.org> wrote:

Thanks for posting this, it is good to know that Glenn was not involved. Not that we would blame him for something out of his control, but still nice to know. Thanks All As you can well expect I am under a signed Confidentiality agreement that's legally binding with ISOC and although I would be happy to express my personal opinion on the said issue I'm obligated to keep silent as to my affirmative or rejection of the sale.
