FW: Fast-Track of Elections
Woops! See Ross's clarification below. Also, for anybody that may be interested in the NomCom position, they might want to contact Ross directly to get the "scoop" on what is actually involved. Hi all,
There was some confusion last week as to the timing that we would use for the up-coming elections. This was discussed on today's conference call and it was decided that we would have a two week nomination period for all elections, starting today and ending midnight Aug. 23. On the following week, we will hold on-line elections. Just to remind everybody, the positions we are talking about are:
1. ALAC member - two year term 2. Chair - 1 year term 3. Secretariat - 1 year term 4. Nom Com Delegate - 2 year term
If anybody would like to volunteer/nominate someone to any of these positions, please post on-line.
If anybody is interested in the Nom Com position, they should send in their qualifications for the position as well.
So far, we have one nomination for Gareth Shearman for ALAC and one for Evan for Chair. I will stand for Secretariat only so long as nobody else wants the position. New blood is always sought!
