Open Positions NARALO Chair : Currently held by Garth Bruen. Current term ends on 20 November 2013 at the end of the 2013 AGM. New term starts 21 November through the end of the 2014 AGM. Garth is eligible for re-selection. NARALO Secretariat: Currently held by Darlene Thompson. Current term ends on 20 November 2013 at the end of the 2013 AGM. New term starts on 21 November 2013 through the end of the 2014 AGM. Darlene is eligible for re-selection. NARALO ALAC Representative position. Currently held by Eduardo Diaz. Current term ends on 20 November 2013 at the end of the 2013 AGM. New term starts on 21 November 2013 through the end of the 2015 AGM. Eduardo is eligible for re-selection. Timetables 3 June 2013 - The Regional Secretariat will make a call for Statements of Interest. 3 June 2013 - 2 July 2013 - Nomination period. 9 July 2013 - Nomination Acceptance deadline. The nominees need to accept their nomination no later than seven days after the nomination period ends, i.e. 2 July 2013. 10-16 July 2013 - Unaffiliated Member vote 10-17 July 2013 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than one week after that deadline). No later than 18 July 2013 - NARALO Chair to inform ALAC Chair of Selection Results. ALAC Chair to inform NomCom Chair and Chair-Elect of ALAC Selection Results. 2013 AGM [ 17th - 21st November ] - Newly elected positions shall be seated at the close of the 2013 AGM on Thursday, 21st November 2013. We also need to elect someone for the NomCom position. ALAC Delegate to the NomCom from NARALO. Currently held by Glenn McKnight. Current term ends on 20 November 2013 at the end of the 2013 AGM. New term starts on 21 November 2013 through the end of the 2014 AGM. Glenn is NOT eligible for re-selection. Timeline 1. Nominations Open: 27 May 2013 2. Nominations Close: 7 June 2013 3. Nomination Acceptance Deadline: On or before 14 June 2013 4. RALO nominee prioritization period: Between 14-24 June 2013 (this may include a vote if desired) 5. ALAC Notification: RALOs to transmit all accepted nominations with a recommendation for a preferred candidate if the RALO wishes to provide one by 25 June 2013 6. ALAC Review of RALO Recommendations/Additional List of Nominations Accepted: 25 June - 2 July 2013 7. ALAC selection and endorsement vote: Carried out on-line between 2 July - 8 July 8.
