Final Text of Letter to Paul Twomey
Evan, this is the text of the letter: Dear Dr. Twomey, On 21 March 2007 you stated: “What has happened to registrants with RegisterFly.com has made it clear there must be comprehensive review of the registrar accreditation process and the content of the RAA.” While we are grateful that attention has been given to the content of the RAA, we are still awaiting the promised comprehensive review of the registrar accreditation process. Members of the NARALO are of the view that 18 months is long enough for such a review to have been completed. We look forward to ICANN's early publication of the comprehensive registrar accreditation process review. The letter should be sent to Dr. Paul Twomey, President/CEO of ICANN --<twomey[at]icann.org> and should be copied to Peter Dengate-Thrush, ICANN Board Chair -- <barrister[at]chambers.gen.nz>, Denise Michel, Vice President Policy Development -- <denise.michel[at]icann.org>; John O. Jeffrey, Esq., General Counsel -- <jeffrey[at]icann.org>; staff[at]atlarge.icann.org; Senior Policy Director Rob Hoggarth -- <robert.hoggarth[at]icann.org>; Wendy Seltzer, ALAC Board Liaison -- <wendy[at]seltzer.com>; Tim Cole, Chief Registrar Liaison -- <tim.cole[at]icann.org>; Cheryl Langdon-Orr, ALAC Chair -- <cheryl[at]hovtek.com.au>; Avri Doria, GNSO Chair -- <avri[at]psg.com>.
Hello all, Just as a matter of explanation, to those who were not on today's conference call: We discussed Danny's proposal -- to send a letter to Paul Twomey (and CC others) regarding the holding to his promise to have a review of the registrar accreditation process. It was agreed that Danny would send a final draft to this list -- if no objections were raised I would send this letter in my capacity as chair of NARALO. (There was a discussion on whether to ask ALAC to send it. However consensus at the meeting was that NARALO should initiate this because some of the root causes for Twomey's promise (i.e., RegisterFly) came out of this region.) - Evan Danny Younger wrote:

[excerpt] "A California based commercial Internet service provider whose clients included a laundry list of spammers and scammers is now offline, after the last of the company's upstream Internet providers decided to the pull the plug. Atrivo, a.k.a "Intercage," of Northern California, ceased to be reachable from any points on the Internet early Sunday morning when the ISP's sole remaining provider - Pacific Internet Exchange (PIE) - stopped routing traffic for the troubled company." http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/09/internet_shuns_us_based... By the way, this is the hosting firm highly praised by ICANN-accredited registrar Estdomains (whose CEO was found "guilty of entering illegal data into card payment systems of Internet stores for the purpose of material gain, creating forged documents, using forged documents, and money laundering").
