Dear All, As you know, The New gTLD Program: 2026 Round includes an objection process, which affords certain parties an opportunity to advance arguments against identified applications for new gTLDs on different grounds<https://newgtldprogram-2026-agb.icann.org/en/8-module-4-community-input-obj…>. Objections may also be filed by Independent Objectors (IOs), may file Community and Limited Public Interest objections and appeals, and participate in mediation where appropriate. They do not act on behalf of any particular person or entity, but solely in the best interests of the public and global Internet users. ICANN seeks to identify three individuals to serve as Independent Objectors, including one that will act as Chair, to file Community and Limited Public Interest objections and appeals and participate in mediation, where appropriate, as part of the Program. An individual may be affiliated with a firm but will be ultimately responsible for the processes described in this EOI. Individuals from the same firm shall not be selected. Inquiry Regarding Payment Procedures and RSP Selection for the New gTLD Program

Dear ICANN Team, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification on a few points regarding the New gTLD Program application process. First, regarding the application fee payment: Is it mandatory for the applicant organization to make the payment directly from its own institutional bank account? For instance, if the applicant is a municipality or a large public entity, must the primary payment originate from their specific accounts, or can it be made by a third-party entity authorized by the applicant? If payment by a different legal entity on behalf of the applicant is permitted, what specific additional authorization documents or financial proofs does ICANN require to validate this arrangement? Secondly, I have a question regarding Registry Service Provider (RSP) selection. Beyond the standard evaluation fees (such as the $227,000 application fee), are there any additional fees required by ICANN specifically related to the selection or designation of an RSP during the application phase? I look forward to your guidance and detailed information on these matters. New gTLD Resource Directory Now Live – Help Us Spread the Word

You can view the live directory here: https://thedna.org/new-gltds/ New gTLDs thedna.org This new resource offers a vetted list of trusted service providers — from registry backend operators to legal, compliance, marketing, and technical experts — who are ready to support gTLD applicants. It’s the product of direct requests from this community, aimed at filling a gap that ICANN itself, due to its neutrality, cannot address. When prospective applicants ask, “Who can help me apply?” ICANN cannot recommend providers — but the broader community can. This directory is designed to be that missing link: a community-driven guide to help new entrants find reliable, experienced partners. Hi Channel, It’s been quiet on this list and wanted to reboot us a bit. This past week, the program achieved some critical milestones that some of you may already be aware of namely. 1. Dear all, Happy new year to you all and looking forward to greater progress and engagements this 2025 as we gradually advance towards the opening of the New gTLD Program Next Round. I just wanted to welcome all of you once again, especially those who have joined the list recently. As a recap, in December last year, the Next Round Program leadership posted a blog that I wanted to share again with this list, and I know some of you may have read it already.
