I'm sad to tell you all that, as you may or may not already know, our previous Policy Chair has quit her position for personal reasons. It's proving to be a very tough year for civil society volunteers but we must plow on, in the interest of NGOs and their members around the world.

Therefore, on behalf of the current EC, I would like to open a call for applications for this very important role in our constituency. The term is going to be limited in time, until our AGM in October when the new elected EC term kicks in, but nothing is stopping this person from applying to become the Policy Chair in the upcoming elections, which we will soon announce. On the contrary, we strongly encourage any interested applicant to also run for office in order to ensure continuity in this position. 

To apply, simply send me and Maryam (see her email address as recipient of this email) an email with your name and a short statement of interest highlighting your (1) experience with policy work (in- or outside of ICANN) and your (2) motivation for applying.
