Hi all,

We drafted a comment on the "Next Steps" plan, for your review, suggestions, and further comments. 

Do note that the questions we were asked here were precise in scope but somewhat abstract in the answers they called for... 

Feel free to give the document itself a read - something that will guide further action by Board and staff re this whole "evolution" project. 

Comment closes on 2nd Aug, so let's give it a few days, so that the PC has some time for their own review.

We have a new public comment and it is about Enhancing the Effectiveness of ICANN’s Multistakeholder Model – Next Steps. You might recall this initiative started at a Barcelona meeting by the ICANN board with webinars and hiring a consultant to work on a proposal conducting public comments and organizing plenary sessions at ICANN meeting. As a group, we expressed our concerns about such efforts and its scope. We need to review this new paper for public comment. We also should have in mind ongoing effort like in GNSO with PDP 3.0.

Please let me offline if you want to volunteer to participate in drafting the NCSG comment and join the drafting team. It is open for any newcomers and we are looking for experienced members to support drafting. This is quite an important topic for us and we have to pay attention.
