Notice of NPOC nomination for election process.
Hello NPOC members,
The purpose of the NPOC is to represent, specifically, the operational concerns related to service delivery of not-for-profit and non-governmental organizations who are domain registrants in the DNS. NPOC focuses on the impact of DNS policies and their effects on the operational readiness and implementation of non-commercial missions and objectives. NPOC members rely on the Internet and DNS policies to provide valuable services to their communities.
It is that time again for the annual NPOC Executive Committee nominations and election process. The NPOC Charter requires a minimum of sixty (60) days to call an annual election. The formal nomination timeline & process is as follows:

Procedures for the elections
Notice of Election and Request for Nominations on the NPOC website for at least sixty (60) days prior to an upcoming election. Such notice shall include the opening date of the official vote.
Candidates can formally post their nomination on the NPOC Discuss list by:
stating their name and the position being applied for;
self nominate, or name of nominator;
statement of why you would make a good candidate; and
making a formal declaration:
I, (the above-named) ....................................................................., declare that:
I am an active member of NPOC, and that if elected, I consent to serve.
I do not have any percunary or conflict of interest with ICANN
No position shall have more than four (4) candidates. In the event more than four (4) individuals request nomination the EC shall review and vote on the final four (4) candidates.
Once the candidates have been formally accepted, the voting process detailed in Section 9.0 will commence.
You can self nominate or find a nominator starting on April 26th, 2016. A membership call will be schedule for April 28th at 1300 UTC to discuss the formal election process with the Excom and each other. Calendar invite will be sent by ICANN Staff Please note that position terms are not limited. All current Excom positions are open including:
