Hello Caleb and Wisdom,

I am reaching out to you directly to check in on your progress engaging with your group on Phase 3 of the CIP-CCG's work, to develop criteria and indicators. As discussed during the recent CIP-CCG meetings, the deadline for completion of this work is flexible as the groups have a different cadence and method of collaborating. We are still hoping that the bulk of the CIP-CCG can complete their work, at least as an initial draft, by the end of July. How can the ICANN org Reviews team help you? Is there an obstacle to advancing this work? Would it be helpful for us to attend a meeting of your group to answer any project-management related questions?

In addition, if you have already made enough progress on Phase 3 (as some groups are much further ahead than others), would you be comfortable with us using your draft as an illustration to the CIP-CCG for how it will fit into the eventual Public Comment proceeding framework, CIP survey and assessment phase?

Looking forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your diligent participation and contribution to this important work for ICANN.

Cheers,

Evin

Subject: CIP-CCG meeting report and action items

Hello volunteers of the Continuous Improvement Program Community Coordination Group (CIP-CCG),

Thank you for joining meeting of the CIP-CCG yesterday. Please find the 10 July meeting recording, summary report, and other action items and resources on the meeting page here. The following action items are for the CIP-CCG, for our next scheduled meeting:

  • Next meeting: There will be a CIP-CCG meeting on Wednesday, 24 July at 14 UTC for 60 minutes. The next meeting, please consider how the CIP-CCG meetings are going, and if anything can be done differently - ICANN org welcomes your constructive suggestions.
  • CIP Survey Input: Please provide input on the survey in development, including information about your members/participants in the CIP Survey Database here. The database is located in the EXT-CIP-CCG Drive.
  • Phase 3 (5 June - 24 July): CIP-CCG representatives to present to your groups to update them on the progress of the CIP-CCG meetings, and to gather your group's input on the framework criteria and indicators in progress. CIP-CCG volunteers noted that that most groups are actively working on 3-5 criteria and indicators and suggested that the current deadline for Phase 3 (24 July) in the CIP-CCG work plan could be extended, as more time may be needed for this substantive work with the community groups. ICANN org will follow up with you individually to provide support as needed. Please use the following supporting materials in outreach to your groups:
    • Slide deck for Phase 3  and Talking Points and FAQ for Phase 3: Both resources are in your group’s subfolder in the CIP-CCG Google Drive, translated into the 5 UN languages.
    • Link to your dedicated workspace in the CIP-CCG Google Drive: Please leverage your dedicated workspace, or other preferred collaborative tools such as Zoom Whiteboards and the ccNSO Representative Presentation on the OST/World Cafe session formats.
    • Link to database of the ICANN community’s existing continuous improvement activities: The objective of the CIP implementation is to leverage work that the community is already doing toward continuous improvement, to inform development of the criteria and indicators.
  • Ongoing: We ask each of the Community Coordination Group representatives to regularly engage with your community leadership throughout the calendar year 2024. Please identify a potentially relevant working group or recurring community meeting where you can update your community and solicit feedback on this important work of the Community Coordination Group.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me and to the ICANN org Reviews Support and Accountability team at rsa-coordinators@icann.org. We thank you all for your diligent participation and engagement, and look forward to seeing you again on 24 July.

Cheers,
