On behalf of the NPOC Executive Committee (EC), we are pleased to announce the Community Outreach and Participation (CROP) program for ICANN86, which will sponsor one community member to attend ICANN86, taking place in Seville, Spain, from 8- 11 June 2026

Remember that CROP only covers the following :

  • Airfare (most economical routing in Economy Class)
  • Hotel accommodation for a maximum of 4 days/3 nights
  • Per diem allowance for a maximum of 4 days


How to Apply:

  2. Check Eligibility: You are eligible if you reside in the following countries/territories  Aland Islands, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bouvet Island, British Indian Ocean Territory, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France,French Southern Territories, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Holy See (Vatican City State), Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mayotte,  Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Spain, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden,  Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Expectations of the Selected Candidate:

  • Active Participation: For the selected candidate, attendance at all NCSG, NPOC, and GNSO Council meetings will be mandatory.
  • Outreach and Other Responsibilities: The EC may delegate outreach and other responsibilities to the attendee during the event.

Deadline:

The submission form will be open until Monday, 23 March 2026, 23:59 UTC.

Selection Process and Post-CROP Requirements:

  • Notification: The EC will notify the successful candidate as soon as deliberations are concluded.
  • CROP Trip Proposal: The successful candidate MUST complete the CROP Trip Proposal by 8 April 2026 or will be unable to travel to ICANN86. 
  • Post-CROP Report: The successful CROP candidate will provide the EC with a standard CROP report, including all meetings attended. They will also be required to write a blog post sharing their experiences and how they contributed to NPOC outreach engagement. This report and blog post are due no later than a week after the meeting concludes.
  • CROP Travel Assessment Form: The successful candidate will be expected to complete the CROP Travel Assessment Form to evaluate the achievement of their expectations and goals.
