NOTICE OF ELECTIONDear all,Time for elections is around the corner so fulfilling our charter requirements and in Pursuant to Section 8.2.1 of the NPOC Charter, NPOC is posting this Notice of Election. NPOC will be conducting elections for the following positions on or after April 24, 2017:• NPOC Chair . Currently held by: Klaus Stoll• NPOC Vice Chair : Raoul Plommer (interim)• Secretariat : Olivie Kouami• Membership Committee Chair : Joan Kerr• Policy Committee Chair : Poncelet Ileleji• Communications Committee Chair: Juan Manuel RojasPlease refer to Section 3.3 of the charter for a description of each Executive Committee Officer position. A copy of the charter is accessible here.Voting will occur via email ballot from 30 May till 29 June since provision 8.2.1 of our Charter requires us to post the notice for elections and nominations for a minimum of 60 calendar days prior to the start of any election and as per provision 9.5.3, the vote shall be open for 30 calendar days.ICANN will manage the electronic voting system.2/ Voting members:As per the Charter, the membership committee is in charge of updating the list of active members since only active members are eligible for voting. Therefore, Joan Kerr, our Membership Chair, we will soon initiate the process to register who are our active members.
