*Dear NPOC members* The NPOC Executive had some month ago applied to ICANN for Financial Year 16 Special Community Requests. We are very happy to be able to inform you that all 5 requests have been granted, (see excerpts from ICANN document below) ICANN Staffwill beworkingto scheduleindividual meetings with theimpacted requestingcommunities to discuss implementation ofanygrantedrequests. Please read through the activities explanations and rationales below and let us know in which activities you are interested and want to participate as an implementation partner. Please make sure that you are specific with regard to which capacities you will be able to contribute. Please be also aware that the requests granted do not translate into cash grants and that those who are participating in one or more activity can only expect to be remunerated for their expenses and time. Asingleoutreach event will besupportedon a pilot basis.Thecommunityorganizers will coordinate/collaborate with theappropriate Regional GSETeam to determinethemost effectiveimplementation plan (e.g., coordination with regional strategies andconsideration ofcolocation options where appropriate) to maximizeattendanceoftarget audienceparticipants. Implementation will also adhereto CROPP&ICANN travel guidelines.
