This has never been argued. You are misrepresenting facts. Let's refresh your memory:
- NPOC is under no "relationship" with TIOF in any measure. TIOF is a member of NPOC. I donate my time to NPOC. TIOF is donating resources to NPOC.
As part of my support to NPOC, I attempted to put together some order in NPOC's IT infrastructure which needed attention.
NPOC's vault was NEVER to be hosted under TheIOFoundation.org. This was explained to everyone, including yourself, and I believe there are recordings on this.
The ONLY reason why it started there was to be able to get things rolling until a VPS for NPOC could be availed and proper domain configuration was made.
I do not appreciate that you misrepresent, even indirectly, the work that has been done.
Anything that is not connected to ICANN through NPOC does not make it look like I have to comply by it.
When the above was explained to you, you did not raise any such concern.
When this conversation started a couple of weeks ago or so, you did not raise any such concern.
You are tying me to a server in your personal organization.
Refer to the above.
Why must I listen to it. Why must I trust your organization which is a third-party especially on privacy matters?
There has been successfully handover to three Communications Chair at least since I was the Communications Chair.
My personal experience was that the credentials handover was cumbersome and took me longer than it should have.
Putting together Vaultwarden is the way to solve this moving forward.
You changing passwords unilaterally makes it hard for NPOC to ascertain:
- Where do you store the credentials
- The degree of complexity and uniqueness of the credentials
- The use or not or extra precautions such as MFA
Again, suddenly, we have to wait for your organization to fix SMTP after several weeks.
This has been addressed with Juan and it was an ongoing conversation. Again, I've spent personal hours figuring out what was the problem, which turned out to be a bug in the running version and got finally sorted out by updating the Vaultwarden instance.
Juan and I are coordinating for the final handover and by then I hope you'll do your part and follow instructions as submitted.
That's a problem I don't want to expose myself to begging anyone to get things done which shows dependency and incompetence if I cannot handle it myself. So therefore, not that it's no longer your term.
When it is your term, please do it as you wish. But for now, I do as best as I can do my job.
Your position is up to you. I can't do much about your rant, which is unnecessary and unproductive.
Things have progressed as best as possible considering the circumstances and, if anything, you didn't comply with what was requested of you months about by the EC.
Moreover, I personally invited you to book a call so we could work this together and I have not heard from you aside from throwing veiled accusations and unproductive remarks in this thread.
Talk about delays.
