_______________________________________________Welcome to the Policy Development Accelerator (formerly known as the Policy Transition Program). This semester will be focused on gTLD Registration Data.
We will officially begin the program later this month and will conclude in March 2024. During this time, we will meet once per month (always on a Tuesday) for 90 minutes via Zoom. Our meeting dates are as follows:
- 19 September
- 17 October
- 14 November
- 12 December
- 16 January
- 13 February
- 19 March
Due to global interest in this program, we offer you the opportunity to choose your session time. We have two meeting slots available, specifically 12:00 UTC or 18:00 UTC, where we will run the same programming. We ask you to commit to one time slot for the duration of the program.
Over the course of our semester, you will receive four written modules intended for asynchronous review between meetings. The first of these modules will be shared on the Policy Development Accelerator wiki space next week and will be discussed during our October 2023 meeting. After that meeting, you will receive the second learning module which you will be expected to review on your own in advance of our November 2023 meeting, and so on. When a new module is posted, staff supporting this program will share the information on this mailing list.
In addition to learning modules, participants are expected to participate in a role play exercise. Preparation for this exercise will begin in December 2023 and will culminate in a live role play during our February 2023 meeting. This will require participants to collaborate in-between meetings.
Full participation in this program should take approximately five hours per month.
