PLEASE READ | ICANN Policy Development Accelerator Reminders
Hi all, Below you will find a few reminders before our final meeting on 19 March 2024. Role Play Exercise At this point, we hope that you have successfully connected with your colleagues who have the same assignment for the role play exercise. If you have not, please let us know so we can help. As you prepare for the role play exercise, use the following questions to guide crafting your assigned position: * How do you think gTLD registration data should be used? * Why do you think this? * What are your ideas or proposed solutions to the Legal vs. Natural Persons’ challenge and why? During the role play exercise, each assignment (IP lawyer, end user, privacy expert and registry operator) will get 5-10 minutes to share their approach to the questions above. After everyone shares their initial thoughts, we will engage as a GNSO working group would to find a consensus solution to the Legal vs. Natural Persons’ challenge. Remember, while you are collaborating with colleagues who have the same role play assignment, you remain individuals. The purpose of you working together is to share knowledge. This means that you don’t all have to agree on how to answer the questions detailed above. Please be prepared to speak during this session and turn on your cameras, if possible. All the best, Melissa (on behalf of the Policy team supporting the Accelerator program) Melissa Peters Allgood Community Programs and Conflict Resolution Senior Specialist Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Telephone: +1 202 570 7240 www.icann.org<http://www.icann.org>
