Subgroups – Progress Updates

Action item: Rapporteurs who are delayed in answering questions (due 9 February) for their subgroup must send their input to this mailing-list as soon as possible.

• WHOIS1 Rec #4: Compliance: Susan (next steps plan submitted)
• WHOIS Rec #10: Privacy/Proxy Services: Volker
• WHOIS Rec #11: Common Interface: Volker
• Anything New: Stephanie
• Law Enforcement Needs: Thomas
• Consumer Trust: Erika

As a reminder, questions are:

• Has your subgroup identified any needed briefings/resources?
• How will your subgroup review/analyze relevant documentation? (for example, will you divide review between subgroup members)
• How will you conduct investigation of identified objectives? (for example, will you need calls or conduct work via email)

• How will you conduct relevant interviews (as appropriate)?
• How will your subgroup produce its summary of key findings?

Action item: Outreach subgroup to discuss who the targets for outreach are and how well was each target's needs met.

As a reminder, subgroups must now begin the work plan execution phase i.e. conduct analysis with the objective of producing findings by 22 February. Findings will lead to a set of draft recommendations and a subgroup report (see template here[community.icann.org]) that will discussed at the Brussels face-to-face meeting (16-17-18 April).

Subgroups – Membership Review

Action item: ICANN org to ask Erika Mann and Thomas Walden whether would be interested in volunteering for data-accuracy subgroup.

@Erika, Thomas - Lili has asked for additional help on the WHOIS1 Recs #5-9 Data accuracy subgroup. Would it be possible for you to help on this subgroup?  

WHOIS1 Implementation Assessment

Decision reached: The review team has established the effectiveness tool as the point of reference for subgroups to conduct the implementation assessment of their respective WHOIS1 recommendation(s).

As such, subgroups working on WHOIS1 recs implementation assessment, please use the tool.
