FW: [gnso-dt-wg] Final Outcomes Report of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Domain Name Tasting
FYI. Below is the information on the Final Outcomes Report of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Domain Name Tasting. I'd like to thank Margie Milam, Jeff Eckhaus, Tim Ruiz, and Paul Stahura for their participation in bringing registrar perspective and impacts to the group. We hopefully made it clear that the council who may or may not proceed to PDP while addressing an issue, should not have a solution create more problems or expenses, degrade the user experience, or create additional hurdles for registrars to operate. -Jothan Jothan Frakes Oversee Domain Services ...................................................... 515 S. This report is useless without a breakdown in responses by stakeholder affiliation. Yeah, i get the fact that The Intellectual Property Lynch Mob doesn't like the AGP, but the results as presented are skewed by this bias. These numbers need to be recut to indicate the preferences of different stakeholder groups. I don't want to discount anyone's opinion or preferences, but these results are useless because they essentially only express the IPC preference! <sigh> Yet another waste of time. My comments about this being a waste of time should be read as a criticism of our reps. I appreciate the time that they each put into this document. -- Regards, Ross Rader Director, Retail Services Tucows Inc. http://www.domaindirect.com t. 416.538.5492

Ross, No offense taken by me. Thank you for that sensitivity. It took leather skin to participate in that group, so your comment simply seemed an appropriate summary and not any criticism, at least to me. -Jothan Jothan Frakes Oversee Domain Services ...................................................... 515 S.
