Thank you for joining the RPM IRT meeting #6. We would like to inform you that we’ve made the following changes:

• Highlighted (in yellow) the relevant sections of the RPM procedural documents for IRT discussion
• Reviewed and added any missing public comments to all RPM procedural documents
• Created a post public comment version of the URS High Level Requirements

In terms of next steps, we will aim to schedule another RPM IRT call prior to ICANN79 for us to continue our review of the documents listed above, as well as the educational materials. In the meantime, please feel free to review the documents that have been shared and to provide your input directly in the google doc or on list before the next IRT call. A note concerning meeting #7 will also be sent once it is scheduled.

The sixth meeting of the RPM IRT will be held on Wednesday, 31 January 2024 at 17:00-18:00 UTC. 

As indicated in the agenda, during the call we will review the public comments [itp.cdn.icann.org] received during the Public Comment proceeding on the Proposed Updates to Existing Rights Protection Mechanisms Documentation, which are published in the shared drive [drive.google.com]:

The new updates to be reviewed by the IRT for the documents listed above are indicated via new comments added that begin with “PUBLIC COMMENT + the organization name” as well as “(1/24) IPT COMMENT”. Note: The URS High Level Requirements for Registries and Registrars was not updated following the public comment period as community input was not received. The previous version of the RPM Procedural documents that were posted for Public Comment are available here: https://community.icann.org/display/RPMIRT/Implementation+Documents

In addition, we would once again like to solicit feedback on the proposed implementation of the recommendations in Group 2 (URS Recommendations 9, 10, 13 and TMCH Recommendation 3), which concern developing educational materials to assist users of the RPMs. Staff has drafted a document, which we also plan to discuss at the RPM IRT meeting (time permitting): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rcndtSMXxn8W-JslBELfbT3ByJ-MxW5yqZ89z-eRroU [docs.google.com]
