Subject: [RSSAC Caucus] Call for Volunteers | Work Stream 2 (WS2) Implementation - Formation of a Community Coordination Group

Dear RSSAC Caucus members,

ICANN org has requested that the ICANN community indicate whether it wishes to form a Community Coordination Group (CCG) to plan the implementation of Work Stream 2 recommendations that may require and/or benefit from the cross-community coordination and prioritization.

RSSAC Admin Committee supports the formation of such a Community Coordination Group. RSSAC Admin Committee understands that participants in CCG will not be representing or defending the views of their appointing Supporting Organizations/Advisory Committees. On the other hand, RSSAC Admin Committee thinks RSSAC’s engagement with CCG is important as a number of checks and balances RSSAC said it needed in the Root Server System Governance Working Group (RSS GWG) process are covered in the Work Stream 2 recommendations.

Please consider this note as a call for volunteers to serve on the Community Coordination Group to be formed. If you are interested in serving on the WS2 Implementation - Community Coordination Group please email ozan.sahin@icann.org by the end of business in your time zone on Monday, 20 December 2021.
