Address Supporting Organization (ASO) opened a new Public Comment proceeding on Tuesday, 8 October 2024 on Proposed Internet Coordination Policy 2 (ICP-2) v2 Principles: https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/proposed-internet-coordination-policy-2-icp-2-version-2-principles-08-10-2024

• ICP-2: Criteria for Establishment of New Regional Internet Registries was accepted on 4 June 2001: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/new-rirs-criteria-2012-02-25-en.
• In 2023, ASO Chair asked the ASO Address Council (ASO AC) to (1) prepare ICP-2 implementation procedures and (2) propose updates to the ICP-2. You can see the details of this work here: https://aso.icann.org/icp-2-review/
• As part of this work, ASO AC published its Proposed ICP-2v2 Principles earlier this week and is now seeking feedback: https://www.nro.net/policy/internet-coordination-policy-2/proposed-icp-2-version-2-principles/

Kindly note that ASO AC’s ICP-2 review will be the major agenda item during the ASO-RSSAC joint meeting to be held at ICANN81 in November. The Public Comment proceeding closes 25 November 2024.
