Subject: My understanding from the RSSAC001v3 work party session at ICANN 85
Hello everyone,
I attended the recent RSSAC001v3 work party restart session remotely over Zoom during ICANN 85 in Mumbai.
My understanding from the discussion is that the goal is to keep the scope of this work narrow and focused. The intent is not to rewrite RSSAC001 or make broad editorial changes, but instead to concentrate only on deciding which service expectations should remain, be updated, or be removed. Minor editorial clean‑ups are acceptable, but any material or meaningful changes should be clearly identified, discussed openly, and agreed on by the caucus before moving forward.
Sections that introduce new or stronger expectations—such as those related to diversity of implementation—were identified as needing explicit work‑party discussion, rather than being treated as simple editorial updates.
Does this align with the understanding of those who were in the room, or is there any nuance I may have missed?
Best regards,
Mohibul
