[rssac-caucus] Fwd: The real story of how the Internet became so vulnerable | The Washington Post
Many of you already know this history, but from the Washington Post, this is a good overview of how the Internet in the US was developed without security as a primary concern. Very nice overview of the beginnings of things. Looks as if it may be part of a series and we¹ll forward the rest as it becomes available. -Barb Begin forwarded message:

This is quite well written and congruent with my own perception of history based on documents and discussions with almost all the "perps" mentioned. Worth reading. I still believe that the "survive nuclear war" aspect is over emphasised. It is just the thing journalists like to lock on. I guess we have Baran and the packet radio experiments to thank for that; nonetheless this is in the top 10% of similar articles. Daniel On 31.05.15 19:24 , Barbara Roseman wrote:

A better than average article coming from a journo on such things. I wonder if such a thing for DNS would be of value to produce, if it hasn't been already. On Sun, 31 May 2015, Barbara Roseman wrote:
