Here is another quick way to improve this section of the Draft Report.
Wikipedia has beautifully written material on both WHOIS and the DNS- Domain Name System.
Here is the link to its WHOIS info:
 
 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WHOIS
 
and the link to DNS info:
 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_system
 
These links could be footnotes in the main report or be used in an Appendix with appropriate acknowledgments to Wikipedia.
Bonus is that Wikipedia is available in multiple languages.

Suggestion: Change from Chapter to Appendix
 
After reading through the Draft Report, it seems to me that the section
on "DNS and WHOIS- How it Works"  should be an Appendix rather than in the main body of the report.
While it is useful to have as reference for the reader, it somewhat disrupts the thought flow of the
assessment and paper.
