Hi all,
I agree that this is very useful.
If I have learned nothing else this year, it is that there is a lot of WHOIS related work happening at the moment, and this kind of pro-active oversight by ICANN staff will be invaluable to ensure that everything is brought together in a timely and effective way.
Thanks to all involved!
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Denise
All - It's good to see that the issues report (page 27-28) mentions the WHOIS RT as follows:
In addition to the GNSO’s policy work on WHOIS, the GNSO Council should take note of
the work recently conducted by the WHOIS Review Team (WHOIS RT). The WHOIS RT
was established by the ICANN Board in response to the Affirmation of Commitments to
review the effectiveness of ICANN’s WHOIS policies. On 5 December, 2011, the WHOIS
RT’s Initial Report was posted for public comment, and includes a series of
recommendations to amend the WHOIS related obligations as listed in the RAA. Due to
the overlap of issues related to WHOIS, Staff believes that a PDP on WHOIS should
include evaluation of these additional RAA recommendations produced by the WHOIS
RT.
Best,
Emily
