I just spoke to the User Insight Project Manager, Jonathan Yardley.
 
In order to make any of the video material available publicly, they would have to go back and get written
agreement from participants.  They have done this for another client but the participants asked for additional compensation.  My sense is that ICANN probably would not be willing to fund that.
 
However, Jonathan is setting up a new password and access to the video material that can be used on a restricted basis for the ICANN Board as well as members of our project team.  We just have to make sure everyone understands it cannot be posted on the ICANN website or made publicly available in some other way.

Hi Lynn

Thanks for all your work on the draft report, and the consumer study. 

Do you remember that we discussed publishing one of the videos from the qual. study, showing people doing a WHOIS search?  Did you make any progress with User Insight about that?  I believe it would do so much more than the written word in conveying the difficulty that people have in finding this sort of information, and it's something that once you're "in" the industry, you sort of forget about.
