I understand.
Interestingly, page-level restrictions do not permit access to pages of interest, such as "PCI Compliance in Registration Process". Without such access, it's quite difficult to assess the content and context of the discussions.
Sadly, these conversations are occurring in a room without representation from Registrants who are bound by terms in the agreement (3.7.7) and are negatively impacted by the current state of WHOIS, wide variation in Registrar/Registry services and service levels , and time scales of years to address Internet-time issues.
* Whois issues and the Team's draft report (among other items related to new gTLDs) are addressed in a letter Rod Beckstrom sent to Asst. Secretary Larry Strickling today -- <http://www.icann.org/en/correspondence/beckstrom-to-strickling-11jan12-en.pdf> (Whois also is reference in other recent letters posted on ICANN's correspondence webpage).
