Dear All,
Wang Wei suggested we meet with Kim during ICANN62 with regards to learning more about IANA process and whois, following the discussing by the SG.
I wanted to ask others in the SG as well if you are planning to attend so that I can find a convenient time for all the members available.
Please let me know if you are intending to attend ICANN62 and would like to join this meeting.
Regards,
Sarmad

Dear Wang Wei,
Yes, I am planning to be at ICANN62. It is a good idea to meet with Kim regarding the IANA process and whois system in the context of the discussion by RZ-LGR-SG.
I will request for some time from Kim.
Regards,
Sarmad

Hi Sarmad
Thanks for your work.
Will you attend ICANN'62 Panama meeting? I think we could have a talk with Kim over the issue related to IANA system.
Regards,
Wei WANG

Chat from 20180604.
Wei WANG: hello
Dennis Tan: Hi there
Wei WANG: good to have adobe back
Pitinan Kooarmornpatana: Hello all
Dennis Tan: Link to draft doc : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VCpLpl9nkHq7D7Pf0gyJm7zSllVC9pLvsu_7YdJ473Y/edit#
Dennis Tan: sorry, wrong link
Dennis Tan: use this instead https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VCpLpl9nkHq7D7Pf0gyJm7zSllVC9pLvsu_7YdJ473Y/edit?usp=sharing

Pitinan Kooarmornpatana: they have one as default system
Wei WANG: sorry, I can't open the webpage
Dennis Tan: does this one work? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VCpLpl9nkHq7D7Pf0gyJm7zSllVC9pLvsu_7YdJ473Y/edit?usp=sharing
Wei WANG: no, I am sorry. but I can see the shared screen
Edmon: google doc problem in china or otherwise?
Wei WANG: T_T
------------- (06/04/2018 22:06) -------------
Wei WANG: I changed to Chrome, the link is open now
------------- (06/04/2018 22:26) -------------
Edmon: 1. reserved due to not being allowed to be applied for
------------- (06/04/2018 22:27) -------------
Edmon: sorry "1." was typo
Edmon: i just wanted to mention what i just said
Dennis Tan: thank you Edmon
------------- (06/04/2018 22:30) -------------
Sarmad Hussain: We should look at LGR procedure to see what it says for this
------------- (06/04/2018 22:40) -------------
Edmon: i think delegation mainly
Edmon: redelegation is really just an update of the contact? (in a pure tech sense)
Wei WANG: good question, shall we bring this quesiton to ICANN62?
Wei WANG: I mean I could try to ask for Kim Davis's advice
Edmon: good to ask for Kim... i am wondering if iana does a check of whether the TLD string for delegation is valid or not again...
------------- (06/04/2018 22:49) -------------
Sarmad Hussain: Would status change be covered in the matrix we are doing?
------------- (06/04/2018 22:52) -------------
Edmon: i think sarmad is correct about 2nd level registrations, however, it might be useful for us to put in a recommendation that says if an IDN Variant TLD is identified and allocated it does to some sense mean that end users may
likely treat the 2 TLD strings as interchangeable, and therefore would be surprised if the 2nd level domain is not in some ways equally "bundled"... <domain>.<IDN> => <domain>.<IDNvar> should at least be allocated to same registrant?... and ICANN should check
the rules of the application to ensure that is the case?
------------- (06/04/2018 22:55) -------------
Edmon: ok
Regards,
Sarmad
