Dear All,

 

We are finalizing UTC 1400 on Thursdays as the meeting time.  We will have our first meeting on April 2018.  I will share the meeting invitation and information on how to connect shortly.

 

We are also anticipating getting possible nominations from IAB for this study group later this week.  We are not sure if the new nominees will be able to join this week.

 

Here are possible topics we would like the Study Group to consider in their initial meeting:

 

  1. How to organize the study group (chair? Co-chair?)
  2. Consider additional community members interested but not nominated by SOs/ACs? If yes, as observers or members?
  3. Have an initial discussion on the scope and plan of work?
  4. AOB

We are ready to convene the Expert Group to Study the Application of Root Zone Label Generation Rules (RZ-LGR-SG).

 

I have put up a Doodle poll at https://doodle.com/poll/eahtrtntznqw3sn3[doodle.com] to set up a time for our meetings.  As suggested in the call for this study group, we will be meeting weekly, as we have an aggressive timeline to finalize the recommendations by ICANN 63, to submit to the ICANN Board.

 

We have set up a wiki page at https://community.icann.org/display/croscomlgrprocedure/Application+of+RZ-LGR[community.icann.org], which lists all the members and an initial set of items to address.

 

Please respond to the doodle poll this week.  Please try to fill in as many options as are feasible for you – so that we can find at least one time slot which is ok for everybody on this list.

 

Once we have the time and day set up, we will email further details on how to join the call online.
