ICANN59 Block Schedule
Dear Community Leaders: A current draft of the block schedule is posted at https://meetings.icann.org/sites/default/files/icann59_block-schedule-planni... and attached for your convenience. Please review the document and let me know if there are any questions or concerns. Changes to this draft include: · Rejection Action Petitions: Is the EC able to Exercise its Rights under the ICANN Bylaws? (previously on Tuesday) – Moved to Monday, 0900-1015 · Community Forum on Proposed Fundamental Bylaws Amendments (previously on Monday) – Moved to Tuesday, 0800-0900 · DNSSEC Workshop added to the schedule on Monday 0900-1200 and joint lunch with Tech Day participants from 1215-1315 · Local Host Reception added on Monday evening · Fellowship Program 10th Anniversary Reception on Tuesday evening · Lunch sessions with catering may now be scheduled from 1215-1315. All other lunch sessions may be scheduled 1230-1330 to allow participants reasonable time to buy lunch and bring it to the room · GAC Communiqué to run late on Wednesday evening to avoid conflict with Who Sets ICANN’s Priorities? · GNSO Council Meeting added to Wednesday 1300-1500. · Process Flow and Impasse Resolution session tentatively slotted on Thursday morning (for your consideration during our next call May 9th) · I also want to note a request from the BC for an outreach session to be held during the week. This is not currently on the schedule, but I want to bring it to the attention of the GNSO for consideration and scheduling. Now that the cross-community discussion topics have been finalized, we’d like to keep the group equally informed on the planning for each topic session. That said, we will include some time in the agenda for our next call on May 9th for the group to discuss your planning for each session. Lastly, our EMS session request form is now open and staff will be asked to start submitting forms on your behalf by EOD. As a reminder, the submission period will last now through Friday, May 12th. I’m anxious to start building the comprehensive schedule for you, and look forward to sharing a first draft on our next call. Dear Tanzanica, All, Thank you for the new draft! A comment from the ccNSO:
Rejection Action Petitions: Is the EC able to Exercise its Rights under the ICANN Bylaws? (previously on Tuesday) – Moved to Monday, 0900-1015
It seems there is no much interest from other communities on this topic we proposed, therefore I think it’s better if we withdraw our proposal. We (the ccNSO) believe this is the topic of the utmost importance - we will limit the scope to the ccNSO only and run it as our internal session. Anyone interested to see how we intend to deal with Rejection petitions and related issues is welcome to attend our session. If this session works out well for us, it will be easier to transform it into a cross-community session at some future meeting. Meanwhile please use the Monday slot for some other topic that needs to be discussed. Other topics we suggested are included in the agenda – maybe other SO/ACs that feel underrepresented on the schedule would like to suggest another interesting topic to fill this slot? Have a nice weekend! Kind regards, ]{atrina From: soac-leaders-icann59-bounces@icann.org [mailto:soac-leaders-icann59-bounces@icann.org] On Behalf Of Tanzanica S.
