Just back from vacation and thinking about this further, Can I make the suggestion that a single days meeting or one day either side of the meeting will give us very little time to work through any issues and indeed a split time across the meeting will also
be unideal.
I want to throw out the following suggestions for people to consider:
- Would there me more value is the plenary meeting at the ICANN hub in Singapore or Los Angeles in mid-November where we will hopefully have a more substantial slate of topics, people available and be able to meet for a number of consecutive days together
to really get progress on our topics?
- We could also 'reallocate' some of the funding that we may have used to bring everyone to Abu Dhabi for a single day to supporting the subgroups requests for face to face meeting, as we see that many of the sub teams are really progressing on work items
this may be a better use of the funds of the review team
I personally feel that both of these options give us a much better change of being ready to finalise our draft report in January at our plenary meeting. I would really value others input into this, and how people feel that we as the review team would gain the
best value from our time and resources.
