This make little sense to me. Either we have "members of the RT from the ASO, GNSO, ccNSO etc to help us with out reach to their communities” or we start compiling lists of organisations where we have "a plan to engage with key groups inside and outside of ICANN” to directly quote from recent messages in this thread. I suggested a few LEAs as additions to the latter request and what James is telling me is that he wants to pursue the former. To say that the messaging is inconsistent here is of course obvious. But I sense behind this is a reluctance to actually have these engagements and instead exercise a preference to use a comfortable ersatz insiders view that gives the veneer of external engagement without the substance. My misgivings about this entire review exercise only increase with time given such conversations as these. Geoff

Subject: [Ssr2-review] Draft Outreach LIst
Dear Team Members,
Here’s an initial outreach list (not exhaustive) to seed our development of a plan to engage with key groups inside and outside of ICANN. We’ve noted it as an agenda item in tomorrow’s call to get us thinking and sharing ideas. We’ll put this list on the wiki and invite Team members to add to it (or subtract) and note ideas on forms of engagement (ie. Email exchange, conference call, face-to-face, etc.)
Best,
Denise

Hi all, Regarding the action item: “Staff to capture and share all discussions to-date around outreach.” There is a google doc on the SSR2 wiki (docs & drafts page<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=64076120>) where we have collated all the discussions on this topic so far. The google doc is now also linked to the action item on the action items page<https://community.icann.org/display/SSR/Plenary+Action+Items>. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iqI-67Ir-EydmPPJzsEeBO98X4jucgpFX3HaL_9Q... -----Original Message----- From: Geoff Huston <gih@apnic.net> Date: Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1:32 PM To: James Gannon <james@cyberinvasion.net> Cc: Jennifer Bryce <jennifer.bryce@icann.org>, "Osterweil, Eric via Ssr2-review" <ssr2-review@icann.org> Subject: [Ext] Re: [Ssr2-review] Draft Outreach LIst This make little sense to me.
