Below is an update on the DNS SSR subgroup’s progress from Geoff, who may not be able to join the call today. ----------- The DNS Subgroup has made some considerable progress in recent times. The group has prepared a draft set of topics that relate to the stability and security of the DNS as it concerns ICANN, the PTI and the communities of interest. Following some refinement of this list we have had a detailed conversation with PTI's Kim Davies over the carriage of the root zone of the DNS and the topics raised in this draft. These responses will be incorporated into the draft and will form the substance of initial draft of the final report from this group. This is expected to be generated in time for the next SSR face-to-face meeting in Abu Dhabi.

The level of active participation in this group has been a matter of some personal concern, and as rapporteur I have opted to simply move forward with the work, and allow opportunities for broader review as and when appropriate.
