Hello all, Denise & Eric here (for the new members, we’re the co-chairs from before the “great pause”). Following-up on a suggestion made by Mr. Matogoro, we propose that we have a phone call (or two) to welcome new team members and discuss various details involved in getting the team underway again. Is there anyone who is unable to join a call on June 11th, at 16:00 UTC? If this isn’t a good time we can do a quick doodle poll and settle on another slot. Mr. Matogoro also had several other suggestions to consider to get the review underway – please see his April 25 email if you missed it. Thank you Mr. Matogoro! We’d also like to follow-up on Scott’s suggestion and see how many of us will be at the ICANN meeting in Panama later this month. We’ll both be there. Who else? We’d be happy to arrange for a meeting room at a hotel near the conference center if there’s a critical mass that would like a meeting (perhaps the day before, June 24th). If not, it would still be nice to get together for drinks or a meal with those members who are there. In terms of scheduling an in-person meeting further out, given the changes in membership and changes in member’s commitments and schedules, it would be useful to get a new membership list with emails and locations. Would someone from Staff please assist in pulling this together and distributing it off-list? This would enable us to consider whether there might be a more viable option for a face-to-face meeting location. There might not be, but it’s worth considering. For example, since Kerry-Ann can’t travel, is DC a potential meeting spot? We look forward to working with you all and moving forward with this important review. Best Regards, Eric & Denise

nope, sounds good to me. I've blocked the proposed time on June 11th.

I will arrive in Panama on Sunday afternoon. We will have our German Evening on Sunday (get together with german speaking community - it's always held on Sunday before the official ICANN Meeting). I will stay in Panama until Friday and would really appreciate it, if we could find time for a drink or meal/dinner. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, - Boban.
Hi all, We've only received a few responses for a call on Monday (tomorrow). It looks like we likely won't have enough participants to warrant a call, so let's plan to *not* have a call tomorrow. Do you all think it would be worthwhile to try to find a time that *does* work for a "hi, how are you, welcome to the new members, and welcome back to the review" and "what do people think we should start with" kind of call in the next week or two? Would people please send your thoughts to the list on this? Thanks! Eric On Mon, Jun 4, 2018 at 2:57 PM, Boban Krsic <krsic@denic.de> wrote:

Hi Eric and all, Thanks for email. I agree with a conference call in the next 2 weeks and I suggest using one of our previous time slots for no other reason than we need to start to somewhere. Some items i think should be on the agenda: - welcome and introduction of new members - team’s thoughts and input on restarting the team - any items for ICANN Panama (noting that it is face-to-face opportunity for most team members) … Norm P.S. - I do not plan on attending the upcoming ICANN meeting.

but in addition, it would be hugely helpful, if, instead of this page: https://community.icann.org/display/SSR/Composition+of+Review+Team
we had something with brief bios/SoI's (some of this material i guess already on the wiki page above) all on one page like ssac does: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/ssac-biographies-2018-03-02-en so i don't have to click 60 times (20x3) to remind myself about folks' backgrounds? could we ask icann support staff to create that page for us, using the ssac one as a model?
the ssac one is public, is there some reason we don't want a public page of ssr2 member bios?
thnx, k (new kid on the block)
??? Norm
P.S. - I do not plan on attending the upcoming ICANN meeting.

Hi all,
We've only received a few responses for a call on Monday (tomorrow). It looks like we likely won't have enough participants to warrant a call, so let's plan to not have a call tomorrow. Do you all think it would be worthwhile to try to find a time that does work for a "hi, how are you, welcome to the new members, and welcome back to the review" and "what do people think we should start with" kind of call in the next week or two?
Would people please send your thoughts to the list on this? Thanks!

Denise & Eric here (for the new members, we???re the co-chairs from before the ???great pause???). Following-up on a suggestion made by Mr. Matogoro, we propose that we have a phone call (or two) to welcome new team members and discuss various details involved in getting the team underway again. Is there anyone who is unable to join a call on June 11th, at 16:00 UTC?
nope, sounds good to me. I've blocked the proposed time on June 11th.
We???d also like to follow-up on Scott???s suggestion and see how many of us will be at the ICANN meeting in Panama later this month. We???ll both be there. Who else?
I'll be there as well.
We???d be happy to arrange for a meeting room at a hotel near the conference center if there???s a critical mass that would like a meeting (perhaps the day before, June 24th). If not, it would still be nice to get together for drinks or a meal with those members who are there.

Thank you for the suggestion regarding the team bio page. If Review Team members are happy to provide bios for ease of reading, we can certainly create a page on the wiki in the style of the example you provided.
I like the idea, but would like to link to existing ICANN Wiki entries for the sake of convenience. For example https://icannwiki.org/Boban_Krsic Best regards, - Boban.
Dear SSR2, Should you find it helpful, we are happy to send a doodle poll out to help the review team identify a time for a conference call (suggested by Eric and Denise) prior to ICANN 62. Attached to this email you will find the complete list of review team members and their geographical regions. In light of the geographic diversity on the team, we suggest including a number of proposed time slots to accommodate all schedules. We would also welcome your input on whether to proceed with the 22-24 August dates for the facilitated face-to-face session. As ICANN org needs a 90-day window to organize a face-to-face meeting, per the process in place, please confirm at your earliest convenience whether we may lock these dates and launch preparations accordingly. Per the doodle poll, 11 out of 17 members are available to attend the meeting in-person. Dial-in details can be made available for the 6 members who cannot join in person. The proposed location is the ICANN office in Brussels, Belgium. We look forward to your input and confirmation. Thank you. Dear All, I need at least 60 days to process permission to travel outside the country. In Tanzania, all public servants travelling outside the country get the that permission from President's Office. I requested a kind of an official letter on my engagement to SSR2 from either ICANN or ALAC and was not able to get positive support. If we agree on August F2F meeting official invitation letter need to be issued early in advance to meet my employer time frame of 60 days.
