FW: Question for finance team
Dear SSR2 RT members, FYI, the below note has been shared with ICANN org finance for their input. Best, Jennifer Dear ICANN Finance team, As part of our Security, Stability, and Resiliency Review, we are touching on financial matters. Specifically, we would like to recommend greater transparency when it comes to implementing SSR-related issues and initiatives, similarly recommended by SSR1. This is the current draft recommendation: "ICANN should be more transparent with the budget for parts of ICANN org related to implementing the IS-SSR Framework and performing SSR-related functions, including those associated with the introduction of new gTLDs. Various ICANN org departments have insufficient resources to address SSR concerns. SSR1 Recommendation 20 intends a greater degree of granularity for examination and public comment of SSR-related budget items as well as regular review, which is currently impossible.” From your point of view, is this possible? Are there any issues or concerns we should consider when finalizing this recommendation? With many thanks Laurin Weissinger (for the SSR2 review team)
