Upcoming ASP IRT Meetings
Greetings ASP IRT Sub-Track members, We hope this finds you well. As you may be aware, Public Comment on the draft ASP Handbook<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/review-of-the-draft-appli...> closed last week. We are working to compose the Public Comment Summary Report which we aim to publish on 15 April 2024, on the above-linked website. We are also working on going through the comments received and analyzing how they may be addressed in the next iteration of the ASP Handbook. As a next step, we are going to schedule some placeholder meetings for the week of 20 May 2024 to discuss the Public Comment analysis with the ASP IRT Sub-Track, so please keep an eye out for those invites coming soon. We have also been working on other pending pieces of the ASP and would like to hold some time to review that with this group later in April. Please keep an eye out for those invites as well. We will provide more details and finalize the time slots as we get closer to completing that work. Kristy, What’s the current schedule for the funding part of the ASP IRT Sub-Track ? Rubens
Dear Rubens, Thanks for your question. During the ICANN79 IRT sessions ICANN org indicated that it was working on the ASP Funding Plan and that it would aim to share that with the IRT in mid-April. We are continuing to work on the plan and hope to share an update on the total ASP budget as well as budget assumptions for the program within the April timeframe. Since there are several dependencies including scheduling a consultation with the Board, I cannot offer a more specific April date at this time. Once we have a date, we will update on-list so that ASP-IRT members will know which ASP-IRT meeting we will review and discuss that topic.
