Lars,

To be clear it’s not just Anne that has asked to avoid a scenario where there are two meetings within a 24h period. I strongly echo this and I’m sure many other participants do as well. The current schedule with sometimes 3 meetings per week of 2 hours each already makes it difficult enough for those that are not paid to attend SubPro as part of their job and is contrary to the stated goal of maximum community participation. Having two meetings within 24 hours makes it virtually impossible.  Meeting ICANN’s arbitrary choice of launch date should not need prioritized over community input and participation.

Dear IRT members,

We updated the schedule for the next five meetings. Please see the wiki page for more details: https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/x/MQGwBg.

Spoilers:

On Thursday 24 April (18-20 UTC) we will discuss the Base Registry Agreement and Financial Evaluation.

Week of 28 April, we will have, two meetings within a 24h period. I understand that Anne has asked to avoid such a scenario, but 1 May is public holiday in many countries and to make sure we accommodate different time zones, and stick to our schedule/timeline, we will need to have a meeting on Tuesday 29 April (18-20 UTC) and again Wednesday 30 April (12-14 UTC).

As per Jim’s request we will now discuss Name Collision on 29 April – it will be the first agenda item that day.

Thank you and best wishes,

Lars
