Next Round Base Registry Agreement: Public Comment
Hello SubPro IRT members, Please find the attached CLEAN and REDLINED version of the proposed Next Round Base Registry Agreement (Next Round RA) that will be posted for the first Public Comment. For your reference, we have also attached a redline against the last full draft we shared with you on 1 November 2024. These drafts incorporate our discussions up through our last meeting on 22 May 2025. A few notes to consider as you review the Next Round RA: * You will see certain bracketed areas in the Next Round RA that are marked as still under discussion with the SubPro IRT, including: * SubPro Recommendation 36.4: Section 4.3(f)(iii) and Specification 11(e) * Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs) Sunrise Final Recommendation 1 and Trademark Claims Final Recommendation 1: Specification 7, Section 1 * Several operational updates have been made since 1 November 2024. For your reference, as part of the Public Comment proceeding, we have also included a separate overview document of the proposed operational updates (Overview of Operational Updates document). * For the updates to Specification 13 as proposed by Marc Trachtenberg in meeting #135 on 5 April 2025, I suggested to Marc that we table the discussion until we reconvene with the SubPro IRT to ensure there is consensus on the changes and the wording. We will discuss all the points noted above in meeting #146 on Monday, 9 June at ICANN83. I look forward to meeting with you at ICANN83. Safe travels to those who will be attending in person. Best, Karla
