Re: Community Input & Dispute Resolution
Dear All, We have made some more changes to the Community Input, Objections, and Appeals language (highlighted in yellow): 1. Added a paragraph regarding applicants subject to String Confusion objections that decide to accept that their string will be part of a contention set: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16HK37AMl3VtfmhzPSoiidyqMYRrKzNRCYArbp7Az... 2. Added a Quick Look Review for appeals: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16HK37AMl3VtfmhzPSoiidyqMYRrKzNRCYArbp7Az... In addition, we would like to confirm that since it constitutes an Expert Determination, the outcome of the Quick Look Review for objections can be appealed against. With this, we hope we have addressed all the concerns raised by the IRT and note that the procedures will have to be updated accordingly. Please let us know of any questions. Many thanks! Can we further revise the title of this critically important and very long section? As I just offered in the document (and hopefully not controversial): Current: *Community Input, Objections, and Appeals * Question: *Shouldn't this be Community Input, Objections and Appeals, and Challenges?* Rationale: When I asked in our meeting, I was told that "Appeal" is now a term of art directly for an "Objection Appeal" (I think we should use the full term for clarity, but won't push this too hard) and that appealing an evaluation panel decision, like singular/plural is a "Challenge." /Can we reflect the whole kit and kaboodle in the title? /I already fear the section is so long newcomers and the public will get lost in it. /At least we can flag Panel Challenges upfront in the title/: *Community Input, Objections and Appeals, and Challenges.* Many tx!
