Next Round Sourcing Timeline
Dear IRT members, My emails are like London busses today … As previously discussed, here is the recently published website on the procurement planning for the next round: https://newgtldprogram.icann.org/en/resources/sourcingtimeline. Best. Lars
Thanks Lars. I'm curious as to why "High Risk Name Identification" RFP comes later in 2026 than High Risk Mitigation Plan Assessment RFP when the first one notes the need for "measures in place to mitigate risk". And, as previously asked, how do these external services coordinate with NCAP recommendation for a Technical Review Team? Hi Anne, Thanks for catching this mistake in our RFP timeline, we’ll correct this shortly. The right order is indeed the "High Risk Name Identification" RFP first, then the High Risk Mitigation Plan Assessment RFP. -- Francisco. Thanks Lars. In addition to my comments on the Name Collisions RFPs provided in my April 22 memo in reply to your email below, I would like to note that the CPE Evaluator RFP should likely be reviewed by the IRT before it goes out. This would be prudent since the terms of the contract with the CPE provider will be subject to public comment per Recommendation 34.12. "Recommendation 34.12: The process to develop evaluation and selection criteria that will be used to choose a Community Priority Evaluation Provider (CPE Provider) must include mechanisms to ensure appropriate feedback from the ICANN community. *In addition, any terms included in the contract between ICANN org and the CPE Provider regarding the CPE process must be subject to public comment. (bold type added)."* Thank you, Anness Anne Aikman-Scalese GNSO Councilor NomCom Non-Voting 2022-2026 anneicanngnso@gmail.com On Tue, Apr 22, 2025 at 3:49 AM Lars Hoffmann via SubPro-IRT < subpro-irt@icann.org> wrote:
