Dear IRT members, Below you’ll find the links to the Application Questions, as always, a redline and a clean version. The redline shows the changes we made following today’s discussion. Jim questioned on today’s call (12 Feb 13:00 UTC) the need for personal information on Directors/Officers, including address and date of birth, and the same for the payment contacts. We looked into this and believe this is needed information to run the background screening for the former and run the OFAC for the latter. So the current version has these questions still included in them. The questions will be published alongside all other topics on Friday 14 February. Hi Lars, Hi Marika, I would like to add my thanks to yourselves and your teams in the huge efforts in reaching these milestones, on time, on track , your open collaboration with the Sub Pro IRT members. The whole process has been a huge improvement from the 2012 Round, back in 2010/2011. I’m sure you appreciate my “subject matter expertise” is/ will be on TLD strategy, business models, financial advice , financial evaluation in the next Round. I have now reviewed the draft Application Questions. I note there needs to be few “admin tweaks” – before going out for public comment Firstly, In the #column some questions are missing a number, so it is out of sequential order. We’ve reworked the numbers, such that the final question on Financial Evaluation / DNS Abuse will be 216. Secondly, some of the question numbers show for example as 16/ 9 when it is in fact 169. Thirdly, this also means the Operational questions new 215 & 216 are the compulsory questions that ALL financial profiles need to complete. A note to this needs to be added. Fourthly, my suggestion would be to insert an additional column to show the evaluation score ( where applicable) for each question. In addition, I put some questions in the chat on the Application fee call on Tuesday 11th . Could ICANN.org follow up . It was in response to Christa’s email regarding refunds , application volumes , applicant risk profile. I will follow up next week on list , but the crux is, in response to Jim’s request : would it be possible / have availability @ ICANN Seattle for Xavier and the Finance Team to do a presentation to the Sub Pro IRT on the budgeted operational costs / volume assumptions / contingencies, refund assumptions etc etc underlying the $227. 000 application fee and therefore 1500 expected applications , now approved by the Board. Hi Phil, Thank you for reaching out. We will look at your input re: application questions as soon as practicable. Thank you for the diligent review! As for your question in the chat – copying here for completion: “Are these refund schedules based on an ICANN approved budget based on 1500 applications now ( with $227,000 base application fee ) , rather than original 2000 application estimate . What happens if there are only 1000 applications ? will the % stay the same ?” The short answer is that the refund schedule will remain the same regardless of the # of applications. I hope this helps. As for the ask to have Xavier brief the IRT on fees. i’d like to point to the presentation that Marika and Xavier gave in Kigali: https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=322994366 – I do not believe any of the underlying numbers have changed since. So it would be good know what information specifically is missing so that we can provide that as appropriate.
