Comments Invited: Draft Policy: Translation and Transliteration of Contact Information
Dear T/T IRT, Please find attached the latest policy language for this implementation. We invite your comments on the document. Please feel free to review, annotate, and share with the group. We’ll discuss feedback during our next call on Wednesday, 11 October, to which you should all have an invite. A few things to note: * We anchored many of the optional provisions for transformed and displayed data to the IRD WG’s data model (see footnotes and links in the document) * EPP extensions have yet to be defined for communication of language tag data insofar as they are discussed in the document. You’ll see this emphasized. * RDAP is in a pilot phase. Once we review this T/T policy together, we can discuss coordination with further RDAP deployments. See https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2017-09-05-en * We intend to further review Section 4 (“Requirements for language tags…”) with an independent expert, to be consulted. You’ll also find the document on the Wiki<https://community.icann.org/display/gnsottcii/IRT+Meetings+and+Discussion+Ma...> alongside other implementation-related materials. Let me know of any questions. In the meantime, we look forward to discussing the document with you on the 11th.
