Hi Dev,

I found Slack too overwhelming ie being inundated with too many messages from various threads. Simply put, it's akin to being subscribed to too many WhatsApp chat groups and within earshot of everyone's conversations however much that disinterests you.

Perhaps the development highlighted in the article may ease the pain of using Slack again -- can't say for sure until I start to actively try out the same.
