Don and I have been in touch with the Brand Registry Group before and I shared events with Martin Sutton where I gave presentations about UA. They know about UA and the UASG.
If the Brand Registry Group is having the impression that the UASG is focussing on IDNs, I can´t blame them. The balance between IDNs and new gTLDs in UASG´s strategy and comms has been discussed several times in the past.
All the best,
Lars

Candidly I be at variance, you revealed that after engaging with the Brand Registry Group (BRG) during their session you got aware of how little they understand the importance of UA and its operations, this display show much our ambassadors and comms team is lacking in spreading awareness. Your statement is bit surprising why we need to wait for next F2F at an ICANN meeting, is knowledge transfer depended on F2F meetings only and you mean that it can’t be done on remote. Comms team should just be open for opportunities to engage with them even is its on remote and share the information most primitively. who knows next ICANN will also be on remote in given circumstances.
Sorry but i believe that Individuals have a duty to move yonder self-centeredness or eyeing vested interest in such opportunities of being travelling funded for such activities if it can be done over remote.

Moving forward, I propose that we engage more strongly with this group.
I will make sure to be present to talk about UA during their next F2F at
an ICANN meeting, whenever this whole remote phase passes. On the
meantime, please keep your eyes open for opportunities to engage with them.
