Dear Comms WG members,

I’d like to ask you to be well prepared for the next call on 9 August as we are planning to work on the SOW for Explainer videos.

Please, send in advance any references to some great videos (by format or by content) which we can look at as examples and also formulate your vision on the content of the proposed UASG videos.

To begin with, we can use this simple UA formula to work on creation of the video content:

All domain names and all email addresses work in all software applications.

I - All domain names – message on existence and usage of IDNs, new gTLDs  (based on recent IDN report made by Sarmad)

II - and all email addresses – message on EAI and mail systems configuration (based on UASG training materials on EAI)

III - work in all software applications – message on how to make UA Ready applications using UA-Ready programming tools, libraries and frameworks (based on UASG training materials for programmers and developers (on Java, Python, etc.))

0 – short UA introduction repeating in all three videos with mentioning of these three parts.

There is also a question – should the videos be for general public or for technicians?

Although I think it’s just impossible to go deep in technical details in short-time videos but we need to add some initial tech aspects while explaining UA issues anyway.
