Hi EveryOne._______________________________________________Mark is very right in the area of branding.1. Calendar is supposed to reflect Events. We should change the labelling.2. We need an archive page. This will house Past Events and outdated materials. It would help build reference of records to the present state of the UASG.3. We should replace "UASG in the news" with "Blog". We don't need the former. More news channels are reporting our events. A simple Google search would show it.If our Social Media Channels can keep up, we can report such UASG in the news by posting graphics and links to show such publications.4. Membership Area serves a purpose. It's a door to understanding what UASG is about and breaking the structure with detailed documents and access to ICANN Back-Office on UASG. The question is, "is this not too much for a small space?" If not, good. Will revert with more later.Regards.Adebunmi Adeola Akinbo. On Mon, 7 Aug 2023, 9:27 pm Mark Datysgeld via UA-comms, <ua-comms@icann.org> wrote:_______________________________________________Apologies for not having been able to attend the meetings much these days, but if I may, let me add some points that were not addressed in the previous website reform:
- The "Media" category and all of its subcategories are underused and cluttered at the moment. It is unclear how they overlap with the Blog, and where the user should go look for a piece of information. Ideally there should be a consolidation of all subcategories so that there is a single source for all news, videos, and so on. We do not have enough output to justify this many parallel pages.
- Pertinent to the above, in the main page we use both "Latest Announcements" and "UASG in the News" as widgets, even though their roles is interchangeable, so we are more or less wasting space there. With consolidation, this would not be an issue.
- The usefulness of the "Member Area" category remains unclear. It contains materials that should be (or are) in the Documents Hub, as well as subcategories that overlap with "About". If one analyses this whole section carefully, there is nothing there that couldn't be (or isn't already) elsewhere.
- Finally, the main page's text remains a problem. We have a branding issue in which the website is that of the UASG, but the page itself is entirely written as a general Universal Acceptance page. There are other groups that do UA, so the UASG's unique role should be what is emphasized there. This is reflected in the lack of UASG branding in the logos and in the entirety of the descriptive text in the main page. Nowhere does it say what the UASG actually is.
Best,

Dear all,
- Today we discussed that the Comms WG members will come up with ideas on the format of a document that will list the UASG’s documents that needs to be disseminated. The format should have a field for the UASG document/information, key stakeholder to share this and the key message about the material to be disseminated.
Here is the outdated content matrix document https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NJRggJDNRcLXbKgTJ9BwiHrOy7vyEDEEVp7jMYd_kNM/edit#gid=0
You are welcome to suggest any format or share your input whether you wish to use the same format or improve the current version by next meeting.
- Kindly go through uasg.tech to identify improvement areas on the website. And share your inputs on the next meeting or via email.
- I have created a Google Form as discussed. Please enter the upcoming events where promoting UA would be beneficial. Please see it under the Working Documents on https://community.icann.org/display/TUA/UA+Communications+WG

We will review the entries in the next meeting.
The next meeting is on 21 August at 14:30 UTC.
