Today at the ICANN75 Community Update session following question was raised regarding UASG’s IGF 2022 session to be held in Nov 2022.

As we ran out to time to address the question during the session, I’d like share the question here for your consideration and response.

“<QUESTION>  Is ICANN willing to submit a contribution to the Global Digital compact in regards to the UA issues based on the conclusions from the UASG or is there an idea to form a working line on this? I think a lot of organizations are doing it similarly and it could fit well in the “apply human rights online” and “avoiding internet fragmentation” points of the GDC due to the nature of mailboxes, domain, and users(software) ability to communicate themselves. Is ICANN considering the contribution? Maybe part of the report of the UASG IGF session can serve as an appropriate input to the GDC</QUESTION>

The question follows an opportunity to do a contribution since meaningful access aspects sometimes is not including UA in the conversation and it is clear from the conclusions of the reports that is something to tackle.
