Dear Communications WG members,

First of all, I would like to kindly remind you to actively participate in the Comms WG’s bi-weekly calls and provide your input on documents and other materials that are requested through the WG’s mailing list.

Caution! Practical Exercise 1: Secondly, as we are highly involved in the communications of UASG and on UA thematic, I strongly recommend all of us (and our colleagues in the UA subject) to be subscribed to the existing UASG social media resources to be aware and updated on its activities and provided content. Moreover, there is a need for regular sharing and spreading of the content, if appropriate.

Here are some quick links for you:

In accordance with the FY21 Action Plan the maintenance social media presence of UASG is one of the Comms WG’s goal. So, when you are subscribed, you will be also able to look through the current UA and UASG-related content, check its outcome and in case you have any thoughts and practical ideas on its further development to increase the number of followers (from the UA-related key audiences), please feel free to share them with the group.

On my behalf, I would like to say that it is highly appreciated and thank ICANN Communications Team for their huge work done on the development of these resources and producing the appropriate content for UASG community and on UA topic.

Caution! Practical Exercise 2: Thirdly, the WG has started to review of the existing mechanism to manage the calendar of events for use by the UASG community placed at https://uasg.tech/events/

The goal is to make it easy for UA local or regional events to be regularly added into the calendar. For this purpose it was considered to spread the following form and invite other UASG WGs members to fill it in when needed: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSejQT6Xk0ZWf0YZdHo7IUWp_cEN7-vMFE4cXAohUTU1wvNJQQ/viewform

I kindly invite the Comms WG members to look through the form and send comments if you feel there is something else to be changed/improved by the next call on February 22.

And the last but not least, the Comms WG makes it work in compliance with the approved UASG FY21 Action Plan and the list of Comms WG activities was planned for the period July 2020 – June 2021.

Now the WG’s members are able to follow the current status of these plans (what was completed and what we continue to work on) in the provided files:

Looking forward to our further joint work,

Maria Kolesnikova
