Dear Comms WG members,

UASG Leadership is planning to hold a meeting with the ICANN Board IDN and UA Working Group in February.

UA Comms WG has been requested to suggest on the following topics below. Please see the action items below and share your input in response to this email and/or in the Google doc by 27 January Friday.

Action Item1:

UASG will make a business plan for each big technology organization to build dialogue. UASG to identify additional organizations for collaboration and BIUWG and ICANN org to look into the best way to follow up:

1. Shortlist the companies/prioritize (Please kindly pick two or three companies from each category from the list here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FuDHakMxrqBJgg2lzSerM68LClCFvT7h/edit?usp=share_link&ouid=105070594727628493745&rtpof=true&sd=true [docs.google.com] )
   
   In the last meeting, it was suggested to pick the following categories. Please finalize the categories and then shortlist the companies.

·         -  One company on “search engine”: Google

·         -  One on “mobile phones”: Apple or Samsung

·         -  Another one on “social media”: Meta – Facebook or anything on this category

2. How to communicate the selected companies? (All suggestions are welcome. We’d appreciate if you can also come up with some ideas on how to communicate, the method, etc.)

Action Item2:

UASG to identify additional steps each Supporting Organization or Advisory Committee could take on UA and share with BIUWG for further discussion.
