UA Comms WG Chair and Vice Chair - Request for Self-Nominations
Dear all, Kindly I present to you my self-nomination to continue as Vice Chair UA Comms WG. I would like to continue strengthening the work we started the previous year. We started from almost zero and managed to advance on important issues, which we must continue in their execution and advance in new processes. As directors of the wg we had a particularly difficult and challenging period that became a challenge that we managed to carry out. Next I present to you a brief SOI: During my period as comms wg vice chair, we began a job within LACRALO to actively involve our community in Latin America and the Caribbean in the issues of IDN multilingualism and Universal Acceptance. Here is a brief SOI: I am a journalist social communicator, with studies in information technology. I am from Colombia, South America. I have an experience of more than 25 years in the field of communications and technologies, both in the government sector and in private companies. I am also a co-owner of a computer security company I have been a fellow on several occasions from the South School Governance Internet, LACNIC and ICANN and the CIO Summit in Colombia I am very involved in ICANN and I am part of several working groups within the AT LARGE community, I was also Chair of the LACRALO communications group, Vice Chair and current Chair of the social media working group for the ICANN 70 meeting. I am also a member of the CIO's Network of Colombia, a founding member of the ISOC Colombia chapter, of the ISOC rural development SIG , a member of the ISOC Women's SIG and Cybersecurity SIG. Because of the work done as vice chair in the period that ends, because of the importance of regional diversity and because of all the knowledge and commitment that I have within the community of universal acceptance, ICANN and Internet governance, I consider having the qualities to continue serving as vice chair and continue contributing to the great and important work of universal acceptance. Thanks for your attention. Best Regards, -- *Lilian Ivette De Luque Bruges*
